Edward Chan (2007 Fellow) is joining Wharton MBA Class of 2011



Edward joined the Boston office of Siemens Venture Capital (SVC) in July 2006 as Analyst, and was later promoted to Associate. At Siemens he was involved in investing in several companies in the US as well as China. Prior to joining SVC, Edward worked as a Business Analyst at Capital One in Virginia. Edward also had experience in developing medical devices and working with healthcare startups. While at Johns Hopkins University, Edward led a small team in the development of a patent-pending biomedical device in collaboration with Johns Hopkins Medical School. He also worked with the MMT Fund, a Maryland life sciences incubator, where he supported portfolio companies by conducting market research, writing federal grant applications, and filing patents.

Edward graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering, with a concentration in Computer Engineering. At Johns Hopkins, he was elected to the National Leadership Honor Society and named a member of the Biomedical Honor Society.
